" Nessie ? ! YOU dub MY girl AFTER THE LOCH NESS MONSTER ? ! "

Happy 15th anniversary of the firstTwilightfilm! I remember midnight screenings, book releases, and the Hot Topic merch pileups. TheTwilightera was truly one for the books.

So, on this joyous occasion, let’s discuss, in my opinion, the eight things in thefilmsthat aged pretty poorly and the nine that aged as beautifully as a vampire:

.Aged poorly: Bella and Edward’s age gap

.Aged poorly: Renesmee’s CGI

.Aged poorly: The way Bella’s friends acted after Edward left

.Aged poorly: Jacob imprinting on a baby

.Aged poorly: Jacob’s completely inappropriate and manipulative behavior towards Bella

.Aged poorly: The total lack of diversity

.Aged poorly: The clear problems on how relationships are portrayed in this story

And now, let’s talk about the things that I think aged really well for the series:

.Aged like a vamp: “Edible art”

.Aged like a vamp: Edward and Bella’s power couple dynamic

.Aged like a vamp: The wolves CGI

.Aged like a vamp: Bella’s shield abilities

.Aged like a vamp: The soundtrack

.Aged like a vamp: The baseball scene

.Aged like a vamp: TheBreaking Dawn: Part 2battle

.Aged like a vamp: The Cullen family dynamic

.Aged like a vamp: The lasting impact
